If you thought neon waterfalls were amazing, how about neon rainbows, which the Brooklyn design teamBitbanger Labs is helping bring to life through a new Kickstarter project. The duo of Duncan Frazier and Stephen McGuigan are pushing out the Pixelstick, a fancy aluminum pole that allows users to create insane light paintings. Basic light paintings have been around since 1889, when artist Georges Demeny discovered the combo of putting his camera in long-exposure mode and waving a light source in front of it. These guys have upped the game with technology that reads Photoshop images and adds options for time lapse effects. The results, which you can view below, are incredible.
