The eerie stillness of a home which was left vacant for almost three decades has been captured in a mesmerizing set of new photographs.
The project has a special resonance with photographer Emily Blincoe as the house in Smithville, Texas is the former home of her great-grandparents, Emil and Alma Reimers.
She found the once-cherished family home covered in dust and mold, noting that 'nature has slowly crept in'. A stopped clock hangs on the wall and family photos still remain wedged behind a light switch.
