Nature of Marmots

Alpine marmots are shy around humans. They beat their tails and chatter their teeth to warn us off before emitting loud whistles to tell other members of their colony to flee.

This eight-year-old kid built up a strong relationship with these creatures since his nature-loving family took him to that place four years ago. 

‘He loves those animals and they are not at all afraid of Matteo because he has a feeling towards them and they understand that. We go there every year now for two weeks – it’s amazing to watch the connection between a boy and his animal friends.’

Unfortunately, Bernies have a life expectancy of only 5-7 years or so last I heard. It's the only reason I don't have one on my shopping list. 

Keep Your Eyes on the Cross

Aweeesome ...!! But I am thinking about the reason. I think, when we do not put our focus on the images themselves and on the cross, some trails of the previous image or images stay(s) in our vision system. The next image gets superimposed on those and the result is the grotesque final image. 
If we focus on the image itself, the next image appears only after mopping off the previous image trail completely. Thus we can not see the effect. 
The main factor here I think is the speed of sequencing through the images. The high speed does not allow the trail to be erased. If the sequencing speed is reduced, I think the effect would no longer be there.

Where the Namib Desert meets the Sea

The Southern Namib desert is home to some of the tallest and most spectacular dunes of the world, ranging in color from pink to vivid orange. These dunes continue right to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The cold waters of the sea brushing against the dunes of the Namib desert is one of the most surreal sights.

While the sea coast extends for hundreds of miles, one of the best places to see these dunes is at Swakopmund. Known as Swakop in Namibia, it is the country's biggest coastal town and a mecca for Namibians on holiday. The city's German origins are quite pronounced in beautiful old German Colonial buildings throughout the city, making an even starker contrast for this town sitting at the edge of the Namib Desert.
